This show catalogue was produced for Coventry born artist and recent Turner Prize nominee, George Shaw. The concept for the catalogue was based on a school exercise book (complete with wallpaper backing). Each page in the exercise book presents the artist’s work, which seeks to explore the narrative of nostalgia, memory and loss.
The catalogue produced by our senior creative, Martin Bird, is memorable for its pure originality and its dedicated, detailed craftsmanship, which evokes a familiar resonance in all of us. The work is also significant as it was awarded five individual creative awards – Roses ‘Best Promotional Literature’ and the coveted ‘Chairman’s Award’, Cream ‘Best Brochure’, ‘Best Art Direction’ and ‘Design Grand Prix’.
